HCCH Update: Hague Child Support Convention Special Commission Meeting

The Hague Conference on Private International Law will host the first meeting of the Special Commission on the Hague Child Support Convention from May 17-19, 2022 in The Hague, Netherlands. Special Commission meetings are specific to a particular treaty, and are a time for States and certain designated international organizations to meet to discuss the operation of the treaty, ongoing work, and potential future work.

The Permanent Bureau of the Hague Conference typically prepares documents in advance of any Special Commission meeting, and all "Prel. Docs" can be found on the PB's website here. Typically, among Special Commission "Prel. Docs," you will find questionnaires on the practical operation of the treaty, and States Responses to those questionnaires. In addition, there are usually statistics compiled by the PB for discussion and any reports of working groups that have been undertaking work related to the treaty.
