Case Update (22 March 2022): Golan v. Saada; Live Oral Arguments

The U.S. Supreme Court will hear oral arguments in its fifth Hague Abduction Convention case today, March 22, 2022. Interested individuals can hear audio of the arguments live on the Supreme Court's website. You can also follow ScotusBlog's live tweets here.

The question that Ms. Golan presented to the Court is: "Whether, upon finding that return to the country of habitual residence places a child at grave risk, a district court is required to consider ameliorative measures that would facilitate the return of the child notwithstanding the grave risk finding."

Counsel for Petitioner will have 20 minutes, followed by the U.S. Solicitor General for 15 minutes, and Counsel for Respondent for 35 minutes.
