Melissa Ranked in 2 Best Lawyers Categories
Melissa has been ranked again in two categories in the Best Lawyers in America - Family Law and Family Law Mediation in the District of Columbia. Melissa has been ranked in this annual publication since 2018.
Melissa Organizing Panel at ABA International Law Section London Conference
Melissa is organizing, and moderating, a panel of expert lawyers who will be speaking on Financial Dispute Resolution mechanisms available in England & Wales, and how this neutral evaluation process might translate to the U.S. family law system. The program is part of a several day conference hosted by the American Bar Association’s International Law Section in London’s famed Mansion House this fall. Melissa will be joined at the table by experts from California, New York, and England.
Melissa Asked by IAFL to Teach at IAFL Institute
Melissa has been asked by the International Academy of Family Lawyers to teach, for a second year in a row, at its Institute for Further Learning, fostering the next generation of international family lawyers. She will be co-teaching the class on international custody jurisdiction and the movement of children.
Melissa ranked in Two Separate Chambers & Partners Categories
For the second year in a row, Melissa has been ranked by Chambers & Partners, first in the 2026 US Nationwide rankings for Mediation and second in the 2026 DC rankings for HNW Divorce & Family cases (of which she is only 8 lawyers ranked in DC). Chambers & Partners conducts thorough reviews of potential candidates for its rankings, including interviews with references, surveys, and independent investigation.
