HCCH Update (13 July 2022): Conclusions & Recommendations from 5th Special Commission on Hague Adoption Convention

From July 4 to July 8, 2022, the Special Commission on the practical operation of the Hague Adoption Convention met to discuss a robust agenda. The Conclusions and Recommendations, published from that meeting, are now available on the Hague Conference's website by clicking here.

The Hague Conference provides resources on each Convention, including access to the meeting agenda, preliminary documents, and informational documents. You can view the documents that were accessed for the meeting by clicking here. Among the documents are a questionnaire on the practical operation of the treaty and countries' responses (you can find the USA's response by clicking here).

In addition to Special Commission documents, the Hague Conference maintains a variety of useful resources, including explanatory reports, checklists, guides to good practice, and Country Profiles. You can access the Country Profiles for the Hague Adoption Convention by clicking here. The USA updated its country profile in August 2021.
