International Pre-Nups And Post-Nups: A Comparative NY And French Perspective: Join the NYSBA for a free 1-hour CLE where panelists will explore the approaches in France and the United States when it comes to pre- and post-nuptial agreements. They will address whether spouses should sign such a document before marriage, compare where the parties should sign such a document, discuss how to ensure the document is recognized in the other jurisdictions upon divorce, and share what provisions need to be included for a well-drafted contract.

The ABA International Law Section's International Family Law Committee also hosts free monthly Zoom chats with a lineup of amazing guests. All ABA International Law Section members are invited to join the Zoom chats. On October 14th, they will be chatting with the Department of Health and Human Services about International Child Support. On November 11th, they will be chatting with Dr. Gerardine Goh Escolar, First Secretary of the Hague Conference on Private International Law about that organization's children's treaties and work in the field of international family law.
